I am an asian IMG, I was refused for US student visa when i was in my country. and now i am in france with student visa for 1 year

I am going to take step 2 CS on Feb 2006, to apply for the visa this time i have 2 options

The first way, I shows the ECFMG letter of CSA exam & say that it is mandatory for me to go to US to sit for the exam.

The second way, I buy an organized tour to visit US in the new year for 2 weeks, and showing that i have my study here, the logement contrat etc, i will come back france for my study, don't say anything about USMLE exam.

I am a little confused, any inputs is very appreciated, thanks

Waiting for your advices

You're from Vietnam,right?

I think its best you be honest and show then CS scheduling permit and also show them your student status in France and that u need to return to France after the exam.

You must show substantial presence in your 'home' country - France in this case. Show them the scheduling permit, your french bank account, evidence that you still have courses to complete etc., and that will help. No guarantees though.
