Hey Guys..I wanted to know from someone that has taken the USMLE..
you know during the chapters like glycolysis,do we need to know all the steps of it? or just the important ones like rate limiting steps, and the activators and inhibitors of some of the steps? For example, PFK-1 is activated by AMP, fructose 2,6BP and inhibited by citrate and ATP...so basically do we need to know all the steps of glycolysis or just the major ones outlined in first aid? If someone could reply I would really appreciate it..

Thanx!

You already got the answer. Know the rate limiting steps/enzymes and deficiency of enzymes which would manifest clinically.
