Hi Ms BBB I have applied to abt 30 internal medicine programs . The problem is that my first Personal Statement was way too long and then I cut it short to abt 600 words and I assigned the new personal statement to programs too, thinking it will deassign the old PS as it says in ERAS..but the programs r downloading both Personal statements since the first one is still there in eras post office....did i do something wrong by making a new PS which is shorter as most program require it to b short?? Is it gonna hamper my chances of getting any interviews?? what would programs think?? one more question..ideally how long should be a PS? i would appreciate if u can answer this question for me..thanx

You should contact ERAS and have them delete the old PS. CGR

Programs will have to download the old PS if it's in que to download. The new one will override the old one. It will be fine. It might be time for a margarita and discussing politics to relax.

Yup, you haven't seen her attack her toys. And I'll take you up on the margaritas when you start here. You'll know it's me because the same picture on the forums is on the board behind my desk..... But then, it will be our secret.

Ms. BBB Ok thats a promise that if i start at ur program I would buy u as many margaritas as u want Hmmm..i dunno if i have applied to ur program or not coz i applied to those programs only where i met their requirements unless ur program does take graduates within 5 years of their graduation as i graduated in 2001. I will keep it as a secret..u can count on me for that regarding ur puppy again...attacking toys is different than attacking BIG CAT i hope ur puppy knows the difference..lol thanx.

I have a 9 pound dog that chases my 15 pound cat around the house. I think that she's herding the cat. Somedays it actually works. Usually, the cat isn't amused......

Since I don't know your name or email, I can't determine if you have applied to my program or not. And we have been known to be friendly to persons out of medical school more than 2-3 years..... And the cat is massive - Simba eats the puppy chow.....

Nothing surprises me in the zoo that I call home (which is different than the zoo that I call the office).
