Hi , finally I gave my exam today. I did 4 readings of Kaplan Lecture Notes and Qbank 2 times complete and A & L Review (Book and CD ) and WebPath websites AL review for Biostat and Gross from High yield and First Aid and Qbook and UCV ;Kaplan Simulated CD and some other websites ( just some background for my experience)
Generally:
Time was not a problem .Some Q's took only 20 seconds and some i spent even 4-5 minutes. Q's format were EXACTLY like kaplan . About 2-3 gross or micro slides per block and 2-3 CTs or MRIs or brain cut section Quite a lot line diagrams and graphs and some biochemical structures. No , you dont have to really know the picture to ans Q's except a couple i can name( ah but i wont  ) Same goes for biochemical structure of the molecules. Q's were a mix of one liners and some really long ones ( the ones you have to scroll to complete  ). Many Q's were so simple basics that i was awed. Every Subject had some Bouncers 'I just passed ( i thought and thought and just couldnt get what are they asking exactly ). And yes I got some Q's which were like ' what would be the next step.' I HATED them.
Anatomy:
Nerve lesions (many) Basic brain and spinal cord lesions. NO HISTO or EMbryo ( I dont remember a single one)
On the whole kaplans enough with Gross form High yield (kaplans neroanatomy is a killer , on exam they didnt go in that depth)
Physio:
Understand your CVS and Renal. Kaplans physio is excellent.
Biochemistry:
i got easy Q's basically . Know your DNA biochemistry. They really test it. These Q's look especially tough (as do many others too) but they are asking a basic thing (if you get that you would awnser ;not always happen though  ) .Genetics was pretty pretty strait forward.
Microbiology:
I really feared it and i think i prepeared it too much . You know i think it should be renamed INfectious Diseases Cause thats what it was, clinical sceniaros. Remember how to recognize a bacteria if they give you the features (like staining properties and special medium). Remember your HIV and basics of Virology and really really important parasites.
Immuno was Ok. I think Kaplans Immuno is really precise and to the point. Dont forget the boxes (yah the diseases) cause thats what were usually asked.
Pathology:
Main Bulk offcourse I think it is well covered in Kaplan. Mostly the really important stuff was asked (you know the kind you get again and again in Qbank) Easy slides.
Behavior :
I tried and tried to get it perfected in my preparation Ah but i was looking at the screen at frustration ,saying WHAT the heck ;I hate those relationships Q's. Know your biostatistics basics. Study designs and 2 x 2 analysis of any and every kind. Got no epidemiolgy at all ( social whatever) only a couple abuse Q's no sleep and no child development and easy psyciatry.
I conclude 2 things: either i got an easier exam by pure luck OR I am Type 2 bipolar in maniac phase ( or narcisstic...).
I will know soon enough and then i will post my result just below here So you could assess your self .I am sure of one thing thouh I am repressing all the hard stuff that gave me this headache i am having right now.
Come on cheer up buddies Its not all that tough . KNOW YOUR BASICS. Try to think thru the Q's to the point.
Oh I got SOOOOOO many thinks to say here . To SSRPK :i am impressed guru ; Karusmle: cheerup buddy and just stuck together .we are all going thru . p53: Man you kept me on my toes. All those who kept posting Q's: Frankly thats only reason I kept logging in guys. All those with beautifull explainations: Owe you many ans i did today . All those long Posts from Google : Hey i didnt read any.
My love to you all. Just stay put ,stay together, keep focused and stress up but hey dont stress OUT. ;P

well nice to know yr exam experience.well i got my exam in 2 weeks..do u think web path is enough to prepare for the pics and slides .plus u didnt mention anything abt pharma..how was that part.and lastly is the ke for kemc,lhr

Great news bro, hope you get a 99 !
How long did you prepare for the exam ? How many hrs were u studyin a day ? Im thinking abt sitting for the exam oct 2006 but Im a little worried...I feel like there isnt enough time to study it all 4times like you did.

To EvyBrasil: my wait has just started Buddy But i am gonna make best of it before i sit down again for 2.
To Sobia: WebPath is much mucch more than enough. just skip through and look at the common things which you have read about alot. And yes iam a kemcolian session 2004.
To p53: Thank you so very much in your confidence in me.
To the HOLY man: I am blushed , got my fingers crossed but who knows you cant tell in this exam its like roulette just place your bet and pray .
To migs: Really i only remember the Q's i knew the tough ones i repressed I prepared around 5 months with couple of breaks b/w of 2-3 days each and around 8-10 hours everyday (i have to break every now and then to recharge my brain , OCD) Man OCT is tooo far . Realx and stay focused. Its not how much you read its how much you know. I thought about posting my study schedule and all that But i thought hey i have got no score yet So how can people compare it with anyone ,first know your worth (score ) then start bullshitting with others lifes. just let them study . They are doing fine.

hey need help on this one...
is the kaplan q bank the the one with about 2000+ q that r subjectwise. i have those and almost over. i also have the 41 blocks but not much time left to finish those bad boys. r they REALLY imp. or should i give the subject wise q bank anoyher read because that has excellent explainations.
please advise asap

I also skipped 41 blocks of Qbank cause the q's were the same just shuffled. So revise your q's in qbank (subjectwise) which you did wrong.

To Jigi: I cant awnser you ( got that ) .Actually there are other means i dont want to go into details here. Are you not Indian or Paki, Ask your college fellows (best advice)
To desperate for 250+ : Come on man a lot of other people rock too . yeah we are some of them. you must be a student yet (no offense buddy) I will post a lot of things After i get my score If it is good enough. What good an advice from some body who does poorly himself
Man its been only 2 weeks yet Damn i need a time travelling. Bought all the stuff for ck but my mind is so dispersed that i dont want to start (would be wasted time probably).

Long story short I did Ielts with 8 then Plab with 153 started HJ ,left after 6 months medicine (SMW) and sat in step1 2 weeks back .
