indication to stop strees test r all except upward slopping of st segment st segment depression chest pain hypotension arrhytmias You are measuring the blood pressure in an adult patient with suspected hypertension. Which one of the following is recommended for an accurate measurement? 1) Use a mercury manometer with the column at atrial level 2) Choose a cuff with bladder width about 40% of arm circumference 3) Increase cuff pressure rapidly until Korotkoff sounds disappear then release for measurement 4) The rate of drop of mercury should be 2 mm per second 5) Record the pressure at which the radial artery pulse first appears (systolic pressure) ) ECG, person with carotid massage decrease his heart rate but when released goes back to 150bpm : a- atrial flutter. b- VF c- Vtach 2)ECG showing P-R < 0.2, QRS wide > 0.12 fast rhythm. What is your management a- Carotid massage b- adenosine 3)A 12 lead ECG showing very mild delta waves with a short PR interval. Other wise the ECG has no abnormality. What is the diagnosis? A- Wolf Parkinson White syndrome B- LVH C- left axis deviation D- right axis deviation with bundle branch block E- 4)A 2 lead ECG showing a fast rhythm P-wave presents and the rhythm is regular. This is an ECG of a lady who is complaining of palpitation. What is the diagnosis? a- sinus tachycardia b- atrial tachycardia c- atrial flutter d- nodal tachychardia with left axis deviation e- SVT 5_You do a stress test ECG for a Pt. All are significant EXCEPT : a-ST decreased by more than 2 mm b-Chest pain c-ST increased (upward slopping) e-Decreased in BP by more than 50 mmHg. 6) For ECG-differential a> Mitral stenosis b> Right bundle branch block with left axis deviation c> Inferior myocardial infarction d> Pericarditis e> Digoxin toxicity 7)A patient ingested some unknown substance and presented with myoclonic jerks, seizures, tachycardia and hypotension. The ECG showed a heart rate of 120/minute with QRS interval of 0.16 seconds. The arterial blood revealed a pH of 7.25 PCO2 of 30 mmHg and HCO3 of 15mmol/L. The most likely cause of poisoning is ingestion of: 1. Amanita phallodies. 2. Ethylene glycol. 3. Imipramine. 4. Phencyclidine. 8)Young Pt. Came to u after electric shock due to falling down on subway. Burn was treated. ECG is normal. Management ? a-Send home if ECG is normal b-Keep monitoring the ECG for 24h. c-Cariad enzyme should be checked d-ECG must be monitored for three days 9)C-X ray shows evidence of pulmonary congestion and ECG shows an atriel rate of 250min, variable A-V block and a ventricular rate of 100min. management. ? a-Continue digoxin & increase hydroclorothiazide to 50 mgday b-Continue both the Digoxin and hydrochlorothizideand begin Furosenamid 40 mg daily. c-Stop Digoxin & Hydrochlorothiazid and begin potassium supplements d-Continue digoxin & stop hydrochlorothiazide & add K suplements e-Stop all drugs & immediatly carry on electrical rhythm reversion

1. A upward sloping of ST segment 2. 4? rate of drop is 2mm/s 3. atrial flutter. rate 150. carotid massage slows the atrial conduction so the pattern is better seen. usually need drugs to abort the flutter. 4. A. WPW syndrome. conduction along aberrant bundle of kent produces delta wave and shoer pr interval 5. c. ST elevation is sig, not sloping 6. ? dont understand the question 7. 2. ethylene glycol, metabolic acidosis, seizures 8. not sure? B 9. d digoxin toxicity? 4.
