It's all outlined at www.internationaldoc.com as simply as I could make it! See the figure towards the bottom of the page. Email me if any questions. The very best of luck with your application. CGR

hi hamidi, hope ur cs went well....iam also in the same boat and trying to make sense of the match process....i'll try to give an outline of what i've learnt 1)research the programs which match ur criteria.u can do this thru freida and scutwork.once u have a list, try to call them to find out more ,esp. how many IMG's do they have,if USCE is mandatory(if they say its not mandatory but preferred,u can still apply here, as many times ,other applicants to this program may not have good scores or USCE in which case the program will overlook this point) and 'years from graduation' etc 2)apply thru ecfmg website for an eras token....its basically a number which they give u when u pay a fee.u can use this number at the eras site to create ur own MYeras account. 3)register for the match thru the NRMP website...it costs around 65$ and will allow u to have an NRMP account where u have to submit ur final 'rank order list' when u r done with all interviews. 4)complete the 'common application form' and write a personal statement(as many as u want.u can send diffrent ones to different programs) both of which u can do at ur MYeras account.the best way is to print out the form and complte at home and then fill out online so that there r no mistakes cause once u submit it,u cant make changes.u can take as much time as needed and do it in parts too before u do final 'submit' 5)contact ecfmg and see if they have finished with verification of ur diploma from ur med.school. 6)get letters of recommendation ready.u can then either ask the letter writers to directly send them to ecfmg(in which case u have to print a 'cover sheet' for each letter from ecfmg site, fill it out and send to the writers and ask them to attach to the letter when they send to ecfmg.the address is provided on the cover sheet.) or u can ask them to send the letters to u and u can then send to ecfmg(i think in this case u dont need cover sheet) 7)get also a 'consolidated marksheet' from ur med. school 8) get a color photo 2.5' x 3.5' with light background 9)send the following documents to ecfmg: consolidated marksheet photo LOR's ( not if the writers r sending direct to ecfmg) eras 'document submission form' the ecfmg will then scan these and send to ERAS which will send to the programs u want(which u can designate in the MYeras account) 8) authorise the release of 'USMLE tanscript' from NBME website....it costs around 50$ and ERAS will then send this info of ur exam marks to the programs u apply to 9)apply to the programs u want thru 'MYeras' 10) ALL programs u apply to will get the 'CAF' and ' med.college transcript' and 'USMLE transcript' ......but u can decide which ones will get which personal statment and LOR's (thru MYeras) 11)appy to 1 program first and then call the program to see if they got everything....if all o.k, apply to ur other selected programs(thru MYeras) 12)follow up with the programs to see if they need any other documents and wait for interview emails hope that helps! good luck!
