How is a "fast channel" related to and different from a "fast potential"?

I don't know what do you think of, but I would say that some channels open more rapidly than the others and remain open for less time (Na channels, some Ca channels), whereas some other channels open very slowly and remain open for a longer period of time. Depolarization is fast if it is mediated by fast channels
