Hi, i have heard after getting ecfmg certificate, if we have green card we can work in private clinic? is it true. any know about this stuff, let me know guys it will be great helpfull for me.

Hi Venkatesh,
You cannot work independently without a full license. You can only get a full license after completing a US residency. Most hospitals or health systems will not employ a practitioner who is not also board certified. Board certification requires completion of residency and/or fellowship training and for you to pass the board examinations.
You need your ECFMG certificate to start a residency or fellowship. It does not allow you to practice without also having completed US training.
