Ive done several clinical attachments in the UK, Im not entirely sure if they would contribute towards a good background or not. I'd say there were observerships and externships but unfortunately I don't have recommendation letters to any of them, I only have a certificate that proves that I was there and that I attended it signed by my supervising consultants.
Does the extra clinical experience in a foreign country like the UK, Canda or Australia make a difference in the USA? Are LoRs that necessary or will the certificates of attendance be good enough ?
