hi people finally its over.and i am here to post my exam experience as promised. first of all,its more interesting to do this exam thsn step 1 which is immensely boring .here its fun solving the questions. everything is tested.......but whatever important things are stressed upon in kaplan and usmleworld are really the most important. medicine-the bulk of almost all questions is medicine plus some other system disorder....endocrino,neuro,vitamin B 12 deficiney, anaemias ,SOB,......rheumatology (polymyalgia, fibromyalgia etc),electrolytes... surgery- not much but mainly trauma, aortic aneurysm, prostate peads-lots almost touching al systems obgyn-heavily tested.gyn endocrino, labour, eclampsia, genetics. psy-mood disorders, adhd, antipsy medications biostats-not much ecgs-yes but u cud figure out the diagnosis with more of common sense and less of the actual ecg thats all i can think of now....study kaplan well and do usmleworld and u shud be fine i think i hope the wait is not longer cos of the change over to fred... one more thing-geriatrics is important ask if there are any questions.... good luck

one by one..... yes atleat 5 preventive questions. many questions were tricky..... level of difficulty was like kaplan q book and usmleworld. i prepared for 2 months.full time study. NBME 510/510 went thru kaplan 3-4 times as ppl had suggested .its really very high yield to go thru the kaplan notes and also read the answers of usmleworld questions....from them watched kaplan videos once anymore questions and i will be happy to answer

I have a few questions Did you get step 1 questions? like metabolic/ storage diseases? Do they ask about localization in neuro? (syndromes etc) Are all the questions very long? Did u get time to review the questions? Are there experimental questions like in step 1? Thanks a lot!!
