buddy, dont worry about usmleworld scores, its suppose to be harder then the real exam. i am sure nisha will tell you that 57% is a good enough scxore. just correlate nbme score, its worth the 45 bucks

hmm i m in no different water. I hope ur exam went well. I did my cumulative to be 60. But did in tutar mode (didnt change answer even if they were wrong). Then have done about 1.5 read and exam knocking on the door. Same situation i guess. Dont want rather cannot take NBME as im takin exam literally on last day of block so no matter wat NBME comes ill try to stick to schedule now and wont take NBME. I heard a bad score at this time can literally blow ur confidence away and vice versa. I need to ask have u guys done kap Q Book. I tried that now and in Paeds got 32 in one test and 45 in 2nd (havnt done 3rd yet) in GO got 40 41 and surg 41 41. Will be doing Med in this week. Are these scores okay considerin exam. ???????

hi i really dont know how my exam went all in all...i would say i didnt get very long qns hardly say 20 or so in the whole exam length of qns was similar to usmleworld...but the difficulty level...i am scared to say.,,as it felt easier...but i dont know cos sometimes even if we think we are right in the exam...it may be a false reassurance and the score may be bad...i dont know by the time i came to the last block...i was so tired...could still focus...but to be frank .. i really dont know how it went...i didnt have many ECG qns..max 5 or so had one CST graph hmm there were quite many qns on preventive med...as expected but thankfully not many in peds which i was scared of...esp the late immunizations in surgery..trauma was tested quite a lot lots of drug interactions and side effects hmm at this point...to tell the truth i am kind of scared to write anything god knows what score i will get

hey good luck sumie for your score and thanks for posting your exam experience. You're lucky your exam is over, now just sit back and PRAY!!!! Wish you the best! One question... did you get step 1 type pharma? And what type of questions in preventive medicine? screening, lipids, HTN or did you get a lot of biostats?

thanks didnt get lot of pharma qns...only drug interactions...they started out like a clinical case....then the qn asked about a symptom and said...what the cause is...they were many clinical choices and only one or two drug interactions...so it could be either a clinical or pharmacological qn

they usually describe a clinical scenario and then at the end...instead of asking what the disease could be...they say...how could this have best been prevented usually risk factors are tested more

well a friend also came back from exam and had little stored as far as questions wre concerned. He said that he also got drug interactions and drug effects, not many (God knows how many does "many" means), He said one question was dosage adjustment as regard SSRI in pregnancy?????????? and he said it aint much use to read the drugs, just wats written in Bank and Kap Notes may be enuf. Its simillar to wat sumie is saying. Summie if one asks you, was preventive section of Crush enuf what do u think?

i am sorry i read preventive med in crush long back after that i had done the same in UW and kaplan so i dont remember the stuff in crush for preventive aspects...i think it is good to look into epidemiology of every disease u read...like risk factors..etc that helps which risk factor is greater than the other

well nisha reading pharmac takes a lot of time but it can be helpful the good thing is not many qns are from pharma so u can be selective and read things like warfarin ,heparin, maybe anti arrythmics, etc which can be asked potentially otherwise reading the whole pharmac...though a good idea..will take a whole day at the least
