62 y/o woman w/ovarian CA come ER b/c of fever for 2 days. 10 days ago, she received chemo w/paclitaxel and carboplatin. she feels tired but nas not had n/v. temp 103.1, bp 100/60,pul 115, lung is clear to auscu. exam show soft, nontender abd. hematoccrit 32%, leukocyte count 800, platelet 105,000. next step in management ? a. plasmapheresis b. additional chemo c. iv antibiotic therapy d. iv corticosteroid e. transfusion of 2 unit of leukocytes f. transfusion of 2 unit of pack RBC I pick c, thinking this is neutropenic fever... can someone shed some light on this Q

typical case of netropenic fever. (netropenic nadir 7-8days after chemio). treatment; admit + IV antibio
