ITS FINALLY OVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (hopefully. cross my fingr)

after step 1 , step 2 was something of an anticlimax. the questions were either deceptively simple or deceptively tough.

most of the questions were from IM- peicarditis, tamponade, a few ekgs, derm pics, an mri (all not terribly unfamiliar), pancreatitis, electrolytes, mostly basic stuff to test ur understanding.

a bit of ob, quite a bit of gyn( amenorrhoea stuff, imperforate hymen etc), abortions,

paeds- congenital anomalies, vaccination, mono, not too much

surgery- the usual trauma stuff plus some malignancies.

psychiatry-not too much apart from the differences b/t depression, bipolar, treatment, ssri tourette etc

ethis- wierd stuff , thankfully only 4-5

preventive med- lots of questions, prophylaxis this prophylaxis that. lots of stuff i'd never seen heard or knew. just guess-work

they love CALCIUM by the way, know that electrolyte like ur life depends on it, next in line is Sodium , then K. numerous questions

this exam was doable(probably, unbelievably, coz i had a monster of an exam in step 1 and i find this hard to believe.)

kaplan is enough. i had used 2001 lecture notes only. no dvds.

UW is very good, as in it prepares u for the worst case scenario. kaplan is good too, probably closer to the exam difficulty level.

ok guys, I'm off to enjoying some . i need a break. then comes CS. rolling eyes
