Guys, How do you differentiate between a Hirschsprung disease and a Cystic fibrosis during the first 24 hours of life of a neonate (obviously) or during the first weeks or months?? i think the clinical presentation during the first 24 h at least is very similar, isnīt it. PLEASE ANSWER, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY REPLIES.

1. JAUNDICE is obvious in cysticF. during 1st week..while in hirshp. no jaundice.. 2. Resp.Dist.+ in C.F. but not in H.D. 3. Rectum is empty in H.D., while Meconium is stained in C.F. perRectum. hope this will help U

U hv lot of differences b/w both diz. later on..but during 1st 24hrs or 1st week, these r the imp. lookouts.
