Depends on where you're applying from. Can be unpredictable. Some say B1/B2 is one of the most difficult visas to get. Sounds like you'll be ok. You must not by paid in the US while on a B1/B2 and DO NOT overstay your limit - immigration will never again give you a visa.

I have a b1/b2 visa, and i wasjust in the US, i asked the INS officer when they check your passport and visa, if i could travel as frequent as i wanted, he said i had multiple entries allowed, so i could enter the US as many times as i wanted, but to NEVER overstay my stay. Hope this helps! G.

The immigrationo services can reject you just on the suspicion that you might stay. No matter how valid your visa is, it is no guarantee of entry. CGR

I'm from Egypt. I will need to go to the U.S. to take Step 2 CS, and then Step 3. Which visa (B1 or B2) do I need get? Plus, what are the steps I need to do to get it from my country?

Too frequent or another visit too soon on a multiple entry visa can raise suspicion as they might think you are coming here to work.So it would be better to carry some documents that show the reason for your visit.
