1) none 2) depends on the size, generally increases in size, with risk of causing loss of the fetus due to mass effect (insufficient space for the fetus)

1. none 2. increases due to the effect of estrogren (after menopause fibroids regress). If submucosal can cause infertility due to impaired implantation, or cause early abortion. If located near the cervix can cause difficulties in labor because of non engagement or obstruction.

what exactly is red degeneration of fibroid???? it does occur in pregnancy, isnt it???

I think it refers to when a fibroid's blood supply is cut off causing acute pain. It could occur in pregnancy b/c the fibroid enlarges and outgrows its blood supply. treatment is rest and pain killers.
