Dear Colleagues: Would u plz help me to find the answer of mt question : I am preparing to get usmle step2 CK and CS and i exoected to finish them at september 2006 so the question is : could I enter the match without Step 1 exam and get step 1 after the match as condition....... thabx

I think you can not do that. By the time of Match you must meet all the requirements to be certified by EFMG. If it is not happen in time BEFORE the Match-- they withdraw your application from the process. This is what written on MRMP site. "...I am a foreign medical school graduate. If I have not received my ECFMG╝ Certification when the rank order list opens can I still enter my rank order list? Yes, you can. If the NRMP receives notification from ECFMG® that you have completed your exam requirements for certification by the rank order list deadline, you will be included in the Match. If we have not received ECFMG® confirmation, NRMP will withdraw you from the match shortly after the rank order list deadline and your rank order list will NOT be used in the match. You will receive an e-mail notification from the NRMP if this occurs..." So, as I understand it, you can apply for match with 1 or two exams ahead. But you must be done with them( have the results) by the rank order list deadline.

most of the programs require ECFMG certification in order to invite an IMG to the interview
