Hello to everyone! I am new here and i would like to ask you about green card. As i have understand it is much more better for an img to have green card.If someone applies to the lottery and he/she is not selected, will there be any problem then if he wants to get an H1 or J1 visa later? And because you probably haven't understand the question the way i wrote it, i mean if his intention to live and work permanently in the states will cause him trouble obtaining the other types of visas. I know that it sounds realy weird but someone told that if they see in the embassy that you participate in the DV they will probably denay giving you J1 or H1 because that indicates your intention to live parmanently in the united states. Thank you very much in advance for your help and i hope someone will help me!

Dear akdoc - be calm - who ever told u that is really out of his mind - First, no usembassy can know if u ever did participate in DV lottery - stories of usa embassies acting like CIA are exagerating. And second of all af course they know u are going to stay in USA - they know that for all of us. Don't forget that the reason they accpet us in the first place is because they have a lack of physicians there (studing is very expensive there). So be cool - there will be absolutely no problems at all - u can participate in DV as many times as u want - u will still obtain H1-visa, afcourse if u didn't do some fellany or criminal of any kind.

Thank u very much drmed! You helped me a lot! I don't have a criminal record or any other problem so i think everithing is going to be fine. I also found what he told me excessive and out of reason but i wanted to confirm it. Thank u very much again!

No problem applying for DV lottery. Would not mention it in subsequent interviews unless asked.
