nothing beats a direct visualisation by a lap procedure i would say though not the initial method.

yes. right ans is D.

(but isn't it invasive, just to confirm a diagnosis of it? is ultrasound and physical not enough?)

yes, i agree, itīs too invasive, in my country is not used to diagnose, with a good clinical history and an US is enough, but I donīt know how is it in USA.

even in the USA they do US not laparo unless complicated...raised eyebrow

ok, then itīs the same in clinical practice. Laparoscopy is just in real doubtful or complicated cases (or in a question of step 2ck grin).

CMDT ___Laproscopy is the surgical procedure of choice both to confirm an ectopic preg. and in most cases to permit pelviscopic removal of ect, preg. without the need for exploratory laparotomy.

since the Q is to confirm the diagnosis not the first line in diagnosis then d is the answer
