hey guys finally i have my score. its 240/97. i don't believe it, i took the exam on 22nd june and today i got my result. My letter got lost in the mail and i had to request for a duplicate score. Anyway all that anxious waiting was worth it!!! GOD i am sooo happy i can't express it. I want to thank all my friends in this forum , thanks for ur support and encouragement and all the information that everyone shared with me. God bless. For all those who are taking this exam ..if i can do it so can u. I was an average student in my medical school. so if i can get this score anybody can, all that i required is hard work and a desire to learn for the sake of getting knowledge not just to score high.

Dear friends, thank you all for ur good wishes. EvyBrasil i read kaplan books and did UW , in addition i had FA I would take notes from UW on FA so during the last week i just went thru FA, i didn't take NBME and did a couple of blooks from kaplan cd. I'd highly recommend UW, i found it rather challenging but its worth, i could only go thru it once. during my exam i had one ECG and i had never seen anything like that before, so i took a guess. I had a couple of x-rays and pics but their quality wasn't that good, so i just relied on the info . from the question. I did step-1 a couple of years back so when i saw q's like the rate limiting enzyme and histology q with an electron microscope pic. i thought it wasn't fair, since one tends to forget such minute details but for those who have recently taken step-1 it will be a breeze. Easy scoring source. But even if i have revised some of step -1 things i wouldn't have touched those topics so its really up to u how much in depth u want to take ur prep. I didn't have problem with time managment. I did UW timed from day one, and that what i'd recommend. After completing each block i would have on an average 5-10 min . and after first 2 blocks i took 5 min breaks, took some grapes to keep the sugar level high, it worked, didn't end up with a terrible headache. . Exam is long but take one block at a time and it passes. Try to conc. on the question at hand and don't worry if u think u are getting them wrong. I stopped even thinking about it towards the last 2 blocks, i'd just mark and move on, i got so tired. At the end of exam i was praying that even if i get 75% i'll be lucky. I thought i got all those step-1 questions wrong, since i was guessing most of them. Anyways i guess i got lucky. I felt there was a lot of OB/GYNE,followed by med, peds, psy, surgery and stats. I want to wish all those who are preparing GL for their exams, hey! everyone is different, so go with ur style of study.Try ur best and u'll be fine. Don't loose hope or focus, just stick with it and u'll reach the end. Once again Thank you and GL
