23yr old woman has pain, cramping, swelling of right calf 3days after an uncomplicated pregnancy. Right foot swollen, marked tenderness with dorsiflexion and palpation of right calf. no other abnormalities. Complete blood count and serum within normal limits. Which is the most likely cause?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />


a)hypercoagulable state of pregnancy
b)platelet embolus
c)prolonged pressure on venacava during pregnancy
d)peripheral arterial anuerysm.

hey guys can u give me good reason it cant be C . im confused about it. pressure on ivc in pregnancy can give stasis which is one factor predisposing to coagulation.
