do i hav to take canadian evaluation exam to get statement of need
any input is greatly appreciated
to take evaluation exam its really expensiv plz som one help

hai, u need to go to health canada website and search for statement of need ,its given by u r country of latest residence, for a statement of need mccee is the minimum requirement , so i think u should have to take it first before asking for statement of need and also check with them which speciality is in u r provinces need list, it s a list each province giving to health canada

Hey Vancomycin,
You need to take the canadian evaluation exam in order to get a statment of need from the Canadian minstry of health for your J 1 visa. I am also a permanent resident in Canada and an IMG. I have applied for the evaluation exam and I will take it in january. The evaluation exam, unlike the USMLE is given only three times a year. It is given in January 12, may and september. You can't take it by september/2005 because the application date has passed. The application deadline for the January 12/2006 MCCEE exam is septembet 15/2005.That means only two weeks from now. So, you have to apply as soon as possible and send your application to the MCC in Ottawa preferably by courier mail so that you won't miss the dead line. If you miss the dead line september 15/2005, then the next exam is in May/2006 and it will make you too late for applying for the J 1 visa. This is if you are looking for 2006 residency program in the US.
Just go right now and finish the MCCEE application TODAY before it becomes too late. It is a paper application. Follow the steps on their website. The Address that you mail your application to is defferent when you are using a regular/express mail and courier mail. You will find it on the MCC website any ways.

i wil giv evaluation on 12 jan.but u know people said canadian government is very restirctive in giving statement of need .we might hav to get it fm our hom country.fm which country u r ?
