sorry again.

The correct answer is "E" All above is True.

Remember: The 5 carbon sugar derivates that participate in this pathway have TWO general reaction that TRANSFER Carbon from a donor to an acceptor. This use TWO enzyme TRANSALDOLASE & TRANSKETOLASE.
this two reaction need MEDIATORS & COFACTOR as were described below.

A- Lysine is an important mediator for transaldolase function.

B- Vitamin B6 is a mediator for transketolase.

C- Selenium is a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase.

Oh!
By the way I agree with you regarding the 60 second answer that why I am practice with all of you guys. I wonder if you think is a good idea. To me is very good interactive all my resume questions. Also I am concert about if they are good & important question. What do you think?

Maria, they are probably good questions in terms of they are not easy to deal with and you have to be real good to be able to get through all the options without getting confused.
the only problem with your questions, you will not see anything like that on the exam at all (i mean the question format). They are not trying to confuse you in that particular way any more smiling face
I had few metabolism ?s on the exam and all of it was pretty straight forward, mostly clinical application of theoretical stuff.

One more thing, mjl1717, YOU ARE GOOD =D>

Well probably i am working so hard to past the test in the next 3 weeks. & I am trying to deal with difficult things in medicine. I believe that biochemical is very difficult to keep in might principal when this always work in combination with endocrine organ, genetics, pharmacology, neurology, physiology etc.

You know may I am wrong. But I believe if you can deal with biochemistry, the rest is easy. Any way I will take it easy. Buy the way did you already take the TEST?

Thanks.

  #7

How was it?

  #8

i got good score, if that's what you mean.

and i felt horrible during the exam and after, so... which part were you asking about? smiling face

  #9

Congratulation about your acore. But why every body feel bad during the test. It is that hard?

  #10

Yes, it is hard, because it is difficult, because you put substantial amount of time and money in it, because you're stressed, and also because you are not going to know how you did for a few weeks, and there's no way to tell before you receive the results. But I heard some people say they weren't anxious or anything like that, and they knew they'd pass right after they finished. Wish it was so in my case smiling face

I mean, this is the exam, not a date, it is not supposed to make you feel good smiling face
It is designed the way you get stressed out and make mistakes. You should expect at least some of it. But it is completely doable, everyone knows that.

I understand that your exam is coming up soon? I wish you the best of luck!!!

Well you are right. I already loss my normal sleep cycle. I am reading over and over & I am start getting physical tired. I hope the test is hard because of the anxiety & not because you have to dont know to much detail. In this case I will take a special tee before the test to made me relaxs. grin

Thanks.
