hi all
i got my step-1 application rejected.
would i have to apply from start & will i b using old USMLE-ID ??
and how can i transfer my money from previous application to new one?
please guide.

Try to know the reason why they rejected your application. DId u complete all the forms they require? or is there any issue with your institution? The amount u paid should be refunded as what is written at ecfmg.com site. About the ID as far as i know, you will be using the same ID.usmle ID doesnt change. You should confirm with ECFMG, they are very helpful. call them.

but i'm trying to call from monday morning (US Time) but message says no answer from No. called!!!
actually now i remember that i left clerkhip empty coz i did'n't remember exact duration
also some of my seniors said that u can fill it up with ur step-2 application!!
I was wondering if there will b an option ,to use my already paid fee, when i'll enter in payment section of my new application.!!!

look the clerkship thing is not mandatory at all, even for step2ck or for that matter step2 cs if u have sent in your diploma and transcript everything else shold be fine.
it should not happen the way u say. the office of ecfmg although takes time to get thro. make sure that u didnt call on a weekend.

i called them
mistake was in that name on diploma didn't match that on application
difference was of only hyphans NOT of spelling
i.e., ABC-DEF-GHI instead of ABC DEF GHI
Does anybdy have idea if 2006 fee is different from 2005 fee=$805 or the same???

2006 material will be available at the end of august, and your money is credited on the OASIS page which you can use for the next application
