what exactly is resting force in skeletal muscle? does it mean that without stimulus, there is still force on the sarcomeres?

i'm delirious. need clarification!!!

resting force is the pre-stretch force on skeletal muscles, which is applied at the two ends, which does'nt necesarily hv to be lifted by the muscle, but keeps it in proper allignment!
