I thook my exam on July 23rd... and i still dont have the result. is the delay secondary to my exam date, being a saturday? any ideas?

how can we utilise this time in a better way. i am done with my step 2 and 1 . shall i start applying to programs or wait till i get my ecfmg certificate. kindly advice.
