Which are the indicators (clinical and nonclinical) of a severe asthma attack???

the clinical indicators wud be pulsus paradoxus,think its brady resp muscle fatigue ,abs of wheezin all seen status asthamaticus

normal or increase PCO2 is the most imp't

In severe asthmatic attack there will be wheeze during both exp n inspiratory phase .No wheeze then suspect resp failure.Pulsus parad>25,Rr>30,PCo2>42,PO2 <60,PEF<50.

Sever Asthma Attack ..

Clinical - Tachycardia (Pulse rate greater than 110) - Inabilty to Speak at in sentences Nonclinical .. as in labss .. PEF less than 50% ..
