Related To Glycogenesis Pathways Of Glucose. Select The Best Answer. A- Is glycogen synthesis (glucose residue formation) found in all cell except mature erythrocytes. B- Normally storage in liver & muscle & it's a source for muscle contraction. C- The major regulatory enzyme is glycogen synthase. D- Increase insulin, decrease glucagon & epinephrine are the mayor hormonal effects of this pathway. E- A-B-C & D are TRUE. F- Only A & C are TRUE.

Sorry The correct answer is "E" (A-B-C & D are TRUE). B- Normally storage in liver & muscle & it's a source for muscle contraction. Remember that the initial process for providing energy is principally glycolysis. However large quatities of glucose from this path, either that converted from fructose & galactose or that directly absorbed from gastro intestinal tract, after enter INTO the CELL is polymerized into GLYCOGEN & storage temporarily as GLYCOGEN GRANULES in LIVER & MM. to be split by others enzymes BACK INTO GLUCOSE as secundary normal pathway. This last process occur when GLUCOSE blood levels FALLS TO LOW Ex: Starvation. In Addision through this pathway EXTRA GLUCOSE is also removed from the blood when the the blood glucose concentration is TOO HIGH. D- Increase insulin, decrease glucagon & epinephrine are the mayor hormonal effects of this pathway. Based in the above statement the glucose production from this reserve pathway Increase Insulin secretion for glucose utilization, the ration insulin/glucagon Increase then glucagon & epineprine decrease. These last two hormone stimulation are only reserve when the regular normal pathway for glucose production falls as happens in Insulin Dependent-Diabetes Mellitus.
