hello everyone... i am going to take my step 2cs in aug 22. I am planning to apply for the match of 2006. Anyone have any idea as to the best book to guide me through the process... from what i understand so far, "First Aid for the Match" is good. Is that the best? What do they mean when they say "categorical" position etc.? Any advice regarding this topic will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Categorical is a full residency Preliminary is the first year of a residency that you need to complete prior to entering another residency (i.e. prelim year of medicine could be mandatory for some dermatology programs)
