Check this out!

he NBME software, known as FRED(tm), allows you to highlight and strike
out item text as well as create annotations to items. The annotation
feature allows you to record brief notes to yourself about individual
items while you are taking the test; it is NOT intended as a way to
communicate to USMLE staff members. There is no additional time granted
for use of the highlighting, strike out, and annotation features
provided by FRED, so you should closely monitor examination time when
using them.

I guess this is a good thing for the test takers!

Good luck to you all!

that's greatnod! makes it easier to follow your own thoughts while taking the exam. when are you taking ck again? i'm so frustrated right now. i didn't realize how totally demanding a newborn issad- she's taking ALL of my time and energy. one time, i even had to go to the bathroom with her coz she was screaming and i had to really go and peeshaking head. i'm thinking that i should just go at my own pace and prepare for the exam one day at a time, and when i think i'm ready just take it, without really targeting for this year. all those preparations thinking i could take the exam this yearsad. i don't regret being a mommy, but i'm really devastated and sooo tired right now. what do you think?

Hey BM,

Congratulations for you babay first of all!

I really don;t know what to say about the exam. Your baby is going to be a baby only once, your baby really needs you, so I don't know... Between the two of them, the baby and the exam I guess the baby is more important right now, in my opinion. So, I think it's a great idea to take the preparation one day at a time. Don't get frustrated about the preaparations and stuff, who knows, maybe you'll be able to do it just like you had planned.

Good luck with everything.

A.

PS I'm taking mine on September 26th.
