hi
i hv sent my application to ecfmg but i hv not still got my permit...now at this time can i change the country frm whr i hv to appear...i wanted to appear frm my home country but now hv to travel to usa....and i wana take exam without wasting time....

yes you canchange your testing region but it's better for you to wait for your orange permit. that way all you have to do is call Sylvan & you can schedule your test date & region w/ them.
Also if you checked US in your applic form & you're in US then you don't have to pay any applic fee but if you're here in US & want to go to your homeland then you'll have to pay a certain amt. I am not sure what to do with that. Just call ECFMG.

I read on the ECFMG booklet, that once a testing region has been assigned you cant change it. Here is the link. http://www.ecfmg.org/2005ib/ibexam.html#locs12

yes i think so, testing region cannot be changed, do tell us if ur able to do it though

no change in testing region will be allowed. my friend ended up goin to singapore instead of india cause he filled asia instaed of india which comes latter in the form..
they r very rigid about that though i am not sure why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did u succeed in changing ur testing region ? plzzzz inform me if u did, coz i marked asia as my region, not knowing india has a separate center. there's no way i can giv my exam outside india now
