Why is Nadolol C/I in pts. w/ COPD?

will cause B block then unopposed action of muscarinic in bronchi will narrrow them down further

It is nonselective B blocker....bronchoconstriction.......In COPD pts there is already obstruction.

you're both right!

Nadolol is a non-selective B-Blocker that will cause bronchoconstriction by blocking theB2 receptors responsible for promoting bronchial smooth muscle relaxation. So if it's given in pts. w/ COPD it will exacerbate the bronchoconstriction that's already present.
