Dear bbb, I would be grateful for your advice we are an img couple graduated 2000 from india in uk since 2002 both of us have MRCP UK my scores step-1 265/99 step2 265/99 cs passed my wife scores 221/90 233/94 cs passed we are going to take step 3in september Both of us want internal medicine and h1 Our biggest problem is that we cant live seperately. 1)How would PD find it if i mention that a couple match at same hospital is the most important thing for us.can i mention it on covering letter ? 2)What would a PD typically do if he sees a letter implying that we will join only if both of us get the post ? 3)Would any program give interview slot for a couple on same day 3)do you think i am being unrealistic by having too many criteria(i myself think so!!!!) thank you for your time

1. There is no cover letter in the ERAS application. Yes, you can mention it in your personal statement - in the closing paragraphs. There is a spot in the ERAS application to check for a couples match. 2. That's not really the best approach - just handle it in the personal statement. 3. Yes, I try and do that. Usually I am successful. Spouses, significant others, even just classmates that are traveling together. 3. Yes, just a little unrealistic - with some luck you will both be in the same program. If you are looking at a metro area, you could at least still live together and work in different hospitals. Good luck!
