a couple is expecting their 1st child & has consulted for genetic testing to Dr...b/c women's brother died due to sickle cell anemia..while there is no history from male side....Fetal cells are obtained by amniocentesis..which test wud best determine whether fetus wud be born with this disease????? a)Nothern blot b)southern blot c)western blot d)Coomb's test e)Hb electrophoresis

yeah, southern blot detects DNA, western does proteins, and northern is for RNA actually you're testing the fetal DNA, because these are cells that you got from aminocentesis
