hi hamidi!thanx....& congrates on ur great score in ck too.....until I got my result I wasn't in the condition to write anything...but now i can give u some advise....I don't want anyone to make mistakes like me ,though some mistakes r fine...but u know it puts u in lots of pain till u get ur result...so try to take the exam in a perfect way..like

Communication skill is more important.....so practiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee a lot for that...

when u r in a room with sps ,ur reflexes should work...u won't get much time to think & its not good to think in front of sp....

as they make the announcement....like u can begin ur encounter..just read the case take one or two minute...write down max possible dds, pamhugsfoss, relevant system to examine, any abnormal vitals on a scrpe paper thet they will give u....when ur r ok with this ,knock the door introduce etc...whatever uw tells us to do.....always ask pamhugsfoss....just one question to rule out dd,liqoraaabfpd.......or practice other pneumonics acc to case ...i will write thwm later on....try to cover all the syst exam in 3min....focus more on relevant &cover other syst in brief...if u have just five minutes remaining...finish PE at the same time...don'try to finish it abrupty..do one or two more exam but get ready to focus more on closing encounter..that's very very imp....summarise,tell 2 or 3 possible dds,investigations..& if u can tell them some clue about management too,do relevant counselling, ask if they have any concerns or questions...finish with the final dialogue that uw tells us

for communication part.....uw is the best

for dds, challanging questions &pt notes FA is better

if u have any other question.i will be more than happy to help u

congratulation,, i have few questions,,

1)about summersing the history------- can i summerise the history after taking it and just before the physical ??( do i have to summerise the pamhugsfoss too ?/

2)in neuro exam,, we do initial PE in sitting postion,,, is it ok to drape the SP in sitting postion (cover only the thigh or whole lower extremites?? as SP is sitting ),, If the SP is sitting is it ok to examine him while sitting (tranversly to the bed ???) or do i have to as SP to sit longitudinal to the bed ??

3) IF the SP is crying or depressed or is abused or offensive,, could u tell me just the steps about what to do next ?? when to introduce my self ??

4)After summersing my history b4 physical,,, Do i have to summerise the PE after doing PE ?

Thank you, and good luck for your residency.

to nizan,

Its better to summarise hx after PE.......tell them in brief(s/d be in 2 or 3 sentences.....practice for that.

I always covered pts lower part before starting PE...keep them covered as much as possible..

If sp is crying ,always ask about the reason for that......make them comfortable before u go ahead...like --is there any way that I can Help U.?.....WOULD U LIKE TO SHARE IT WITH ME?...do whatever told in UW.........coz this part is very-very imp...I mean how u tackel such patients rather doing perfect Hx taking or PE..
