hi all , this is my first time writing on this forum though i have been reading mails for some time now and found them very useful.i have a question.should i ask my medical school to send the document verification and transcript to me or to the ecfmg directly.also, should i ask the LOR'S writers to send the letters to me or to the ecfmg?i seem to find conflicting info on the ecfmg and eras websites ......i would really appreciate some clarification on this.thanks and GL to all.

Hi You can send the LORs to ECFMG by yourself but if you are willing to waive your right to see the letter you can tell the writer to send it to ECFMG directly. From last year ECFMG askes your medical school to fill in some forms which look like a transcript before isssuing ECFMG certificate but for the transcript needed for ERAS you should send it to ECFMG by yourself which is the real transcript not the filled in forms. Hopr it is clear

I do not know for sure. But you do not need original letters.you can send copies(even for your transcripts). Probably it means not hand written.
