hi

i applied for step 1 a few weeks ago...i wanted to take exam from my home country but now i hv to travel to US....i hv given my fee which was according to my country...but i hv not submitted my form 183 yet.......my ques is can i change my testing region from my country to USA now??

I`m sorry to be the one to let u know this.

May be u can request them for depositing the fee in ur account ,not sure though whether it`s gonna work or not.

You must take the exam in your assigned testing region. You can take the exam at any test center in your testing region that offers USMLE, provided there is space available on the date you choose. Once your testing region has been assigned, it cannot be changed. If you cannot take the exam in your assigned testing region, you will lose your payment for the exam, and you will need to reapply, including payment of all applicable fees, to take the exam.
