have exam in a wk........got 73.5% in kap sim cd
usmlecd 38/40/33
uw 62.8% still have 900 qs left
nbme 2 ; 640
plz give advice...wat to do in this wk..........shall i complette uw ? i thought i will revise these 6 days instead of compltng uw..........wats ure advise .........or shall i need to postpone exam .........where do i stand? ididnot do q book also.
im very depresed plz help me

I think if this is ur first round u shud complete uw.or may be keep a ssperate time for quick revision and keep on doing uw.It wud be a good practice to sit infront of comp.Bleive me that drains ur brain out.Good luck

thank u hamidi....read ure posts they r very encouraging,i admire ure willpower, i will try 2 complete uw ,this is first time im doing it. plz let me know, bfore exam how did u feel? did u remember most facts abt treatment n all small points? shall i read all uw explanatns in detail or only read educatnobjective part n leave the rest ,coz if im reading all im not able 2 do more than 2 blocks............in a day.............how many qs u uesd to do in a day? how much time shd i spend per block includng reading explantn
in my qiuck review wat shd i go thru? all chapters in a glance or only important ones?did u get cts n xrays?

saxena, i would finish the UW mcq's. I know it takes a long time to read the explanations, but my advise is to go for it. At this point don't read just for the sake of reading, that will be like giving urself false reassurance, don't waste ur time,try to grasp the concept . If u have used FA or Crush the boards, revise from that book and try to complete UW, u can try squeezing in 3 blocks per day, at this point due to stress ur brain will be most receptive, so maybe u can work it to its max. And don't worry, what u know is already in ur brain, now u are just studying for confidence so that u can tell urself that yes, i revised my course or that i did all the UW questions. GL

PS: don't worry about CT and X-rays, did u use UCV? if not thats ok, most of the time u can make out the diagnosis from the stem, without lookin at the x-ray. Besides the x-rays i got, the quality wasn't good. so i made the diagnosis mostly from the stem.

Same with me, very poor quality of the images, but could make the dg from the stem.
Although I enjoyed & learned a lot from UW, it was very different from the real exam (questions much longer and not as difficult as UW).
If I were you, I would divide my last week between UW and reviewing. But make sure you do not get discouraged by the scores you get and don't force yourself to finish it.
Also keep in mind that there are no universal recipes for succes and that during tha last week before the exam you have to do whatever makes you feel more confident.
