Hi eveyone, I am a FMG graduate of 09/2003. I have 252(99) and 249(99) on step 1 and 2. I do not have any US clinical experience and can not get any US LORs. I am looking for a good residency program in Internal Medicine which will not decrease my chances for getting into competitive fellowships. I am also interested in H1B visa. I have been calling residency programs but it seems that most of the descent ones require US clinical experience.Does that mean that my only chance is in small community programs?

Cool, Your chances of getting into a good residency program is very bright. About 75% of the internal medicine program donot require any US clinical exp because they know the situation of the FMG's. So donot loose heart Good Lunck

What's wrong with a small community hospital? Check out the ones that offer fellowships at the hospital - they are out there - you just have to do some searching. I'm at a community hospital (okay, it's not small), but we have most of the popular fellowships. Good luck,
