HI
i failed step 1 ,totally devastated ,,cannot concentrate on studies now...i didnot do goljan notes, no q bank, no practice at all...i think that was a big mistake...
ANY BODY advice me please---how much time i should take for reading d stuff again.i need great help from you guys...support me please ....gimme ur advice....
is highy yield immunology IS GOOD BOOK,its my weak subject.
how about flashcards....are they helping...
if anybody has goljan 100 pages,can u send me pleaseeeeeeeeee

it's not some particular books tht are mandatory to get high score, u must hv seen ppl getting high scores with all sorts of combination; it's how u cover all the topics and the best way to monitor ur progress is via mcq's
for pathology i would highly recommend goljan series ;most pp do!

Truly sorry to know you fail!!
But before you began studying again first try to be more optimistic again and secons like ssrk suggested, change your nick. As you can read some have study only for 15 days and have passed Step 1 and Step 2. Some have study for a year and did not passed. But like ssrk suggested is more about as to how you study the topics. Of course having good references hepls a great deal too. I did Step 1 last year and failed miserably. I had no idea how to review nor how to study for this test. I took the test anyway hoping I would pass it since a week before I was averaging 60% on NMS, Q-bank and USMLE CD. This Ia have done more questions and also obtain Goljan and Kaplan and some recomended reivew books. Some topics Kaplan does a great job with them. On other topics BRS does a better presentation then Kaplan and in some cases HY. For me Microbioloy made ridiculously simple is the best book to review this subject some may have a different opinion. But 3 weeks ago I finally found a way to study that it"s more useful to ME!!!!
Do not give up become optimistic and focus on the test again. Go to a medical book store, flip through some of the books and see which ones fit you best!!!
Very important that you make a Schedule and no matter what stick to it!!!!!!!!!!!

really appreciated..thanx....i will follow ur advice --goljan series and will do mcqs coz that was big blunder i did.
i need to follow strict schedule for few weeks .
