i just wanted to know what would be my chancesin getting a good internal medicine residency program . my step 1 score was 97 and step2 99. i am gonna take my CS in august. i dont have any US clinical experience. is that necessary to get into a good program. i do have a permanent resident status. somebody pls advise me.

Why wouldn't you have good chances? You have stellar scores. Since you have no US experience, you'll have to apply to programs that don't ask for it. Or apply to all programs and hope that they look at your scores and determine that you don't need the US clinical experience. And you have a green card. Why do you think that you would have problems?raised eyebrow

Thanx for the support. i actually have done a residency pgm of 3 yrs in india in obgyn and worked an year for a sr. resident there. would hey count this as a clinical experience. and what should i do to get an externship even if its for a couple of monhs . i prefer in the area od dc or maryland.
