Whats the best test done in ER if Patient comes in with Aortic Dissection, USmle world says TEE , is it right ??????????????

yes, I know that. Precisely these 2 are the tests of choice for this disease: TEE and spiral CT. Which one is better? i donīt know, though I doubt this could be a question, i guess only 1 should be like a possible answer in the real test.

i think the answer is spiral ct if thats what is available and that too in the emergency department cause it is fast and tee should be considered only if the ct is not available in the setting

yes, thatīs a good point. If itīs available in a 3rd level hospital, go for a spiral CT. Good question drkpp.
