A)Blood supply:

a)Anterior intercotal arteries..

1--6. br of Internal thoracic artery

7--9. br of musculophrenic artery.

While there are no 10 & 11 ant: ICA...these spaces are supplied by posterior ICA

b)Posterior intercostal arteries.

1--2. br of superior thoracic artery

3--11 & subcostal A. br of Thoracic aorta

B)Venous drainage:

a)Anterior ICV. into internal thoracic & musculophrenic V

b)Posterior ICV.

i)Rt PICV..

1st...Rt brachiocephalic V

2--11....Azygos vein

ii)Lf PICV.

1--4...Lf brachiocephalic V

5--8...Acessory hemiazygos V

9--11...Hemiazygos V

I would only add that there two anterior intercostal arteries for each intercostal space in order to anastomise with posterior intercostal artery and its collateral branch.
