how to get visa for observership in usa as i 'm permanent canadian resident..??my husband doing job in usa on TN visa (work permit)he got thru his employer...

bbb -reply to my ques - as i need to do some observership in usa..???wht visa i should apply for...

hey guys

i got 6 months entry to USA..

IS THERE ANY CHANCES FOR OBSERVERSHIP on B1 VISA...but i dont have any record there?

please help me

Observership can be done on any kind of visa including B1

I'm not the professional on visas for observerships, etc. because my program doesn't offer these positions.sad

Yes, as long as you don't get paid, you CAN do an observership on any visa, including a visitor's visa. However you MUST be ECFMG certified to see patients and have indemnity insurance (usually available from the hospital directly).

to get ecfmg certificate we need to complete all 3 steps..i am going to apply a visitor visa as my brother is there and i will do my step 2 cs there...so can i apply for observership after doing step 1 and 2 (but not step3)

secondly is there any benefit of doing observership ..i mean i will apply J1 visa after that so is observership enhance the chance to get J1 next time

Observership won't enhance your chance of getting a visa, but MAY enhance your chance to get a residency, if you sufficiently impress your attending at the time for them to write you a support letter.
