I am a USA permenent resident and international medical graduate from India. While applying for step I, I realized that ECFMG goes through official confirmation of diploma through the medical institution. Some people in the forum has indicated that it took year or so for them to complete it!!
I was wondering if I can appear for exam while the process is ongoing?

Yes. Mine took over a year to confirm, and i took step 1 during that time.
