Dear group I have been reading this site for some time now and I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know what Im doing. Im a grad from UAG 2002 and currently Im taking a course called Falcon Reviews for Step 1. So far things are good this prep course really sums up all of the material needed and its up to date. Especially dealing with treatment and diagnostics. I will be taking the test mid july and Im close to going nuts with all the stress... I wont write much now but I know as time approches Ill be a frequent visitor. Take care....

SIliak> Yes, the kaplan course finished last week... the next one starts on September ... iustitiamaedicus> Congratulations, you are now on a very good review course that will give you what you need to perfom great on Step 1... Study hard, try to excel everyday with the study and you will do great! Noxar> All the diplomas have to be stamped with the SEP seal and be registered. Once the diploma has been sealed, then you send them to ECFMG and they verified your diploma via your med school.... But all the diplomas need the SEP stamp... I think they have to travel to DF to get that stamp... (but I am not sure) Hope this helps

About the ECFMG certification: you need your medical diploma that is already sealed and signed by all the people (that's why they gave it to you), then you simply send all your papers, medical diploma, translation to ECFMG and ECFMG check it with your medical school (i don't know if they send them an email or by phone call), this review process can last some time (months) but that's all.

I thing that the SEP stamp is done in your local area. That is not done in DF... in DF is were the last signatures are recolected. I have been investigating about this and now I know that the final medical diploma is legalized in your state, then it is returned to your College and then they send it to DF. Maybe as you said it only needs to have the SEP stamp and be Legalized with your legar translation to be ready for the ECFMG certification. If any mexican graduate can tell us how they did the ECFMG certification would be great!... also if you can tell us for how long you wait for your complete final medical diploma. Thanks again

for ECFMG certification: you only need to pass 1,2ck and 2cs. Once you did this, you just have to wait (you don't need to do anything) like 3 weeks to receive your ECFMG certificate at home. waiting time for your medical diploma: it must vary according to the university. Around 5-6 months approx.

Hola, Well I am not certified, but I had no problem when I sent ECFMG my medical diploma for step 1, at list in my med school they gave me my final medical diploma already stamped by SEP at the back of the diploma, so you don't have to do any aditional "tramites", just check your diploma it may already have the stamp.

I mean now the ECFMG checks your Dilpoma to make sure you are who you say you are then they have you in the system and you can appy to do your exams many times Now for the permanent certified you have to pass the exams " boards"

Cedrick, you are studying neurology right now?, i guess so, i've seen some of your questions in the step 1 forum. Diagnosis in this case is very unclear for me, i would need for information about the case. Tx: i guess it should be aspirin to prevent strokes/AMIs. What had you thought?

Hey guys, I´m headed to the US (PA actually) on Monday to begin orientation (on the 14th) for my internship. It´s quite a task to move to a new country but a great experience nevertheless. I want to wish good luck to all the soon-to-be interns (Lorena, laloblum, shrink, etc.) and to everyone else as well; hopefully you´ll be in the US as residents very soon. It´s been a great ride so far and I intend for it to continue being so. Thanks for everyone´s helps, this forum rocks! Feel free to ask any questions, in particular if someone is interested in PM&R! Take care everyone!

Vientos huracanados !!! gracias ya lo busque y el tratamiento esta correcto creo que si debe ser un AVC ya que el resto de salicilatos son usados para otras cosas y el mas versatil sigue siendo la aspirina

so cedrick, the case can be certainly a TIA (as general malaise says) and answer would be aspirin (of course you also need to find out the etiology -cardioembolism, hypercoagulable state, HTN, etc- and treat/correct it ). Karla: how are you doing?, studying hard?

A Guevo !!! Yes the world coup is very near so I will have to record the games,or do something !!! For me the two teams important in my life are USA and Mexico thanks for the schedulle for the games I have been into my exam so much that I dont know when they were to play, yes I agree Portugal is a tough cookie, but not as the big teams I do respect the big teams like Brasil,Germany,France,Holand,England,Italy but I like the underdog,Mexico is pure heart. USA has improved over the years Now about the question that is all the information there was the logical clinical thinking was that one
