, yes you're right general malaise (fun nickname, by the way ), it's not pretty clear what blackout stands for. I understand it's like if you end your test and you don't remember what did they ask you??, you get confused about the exam, it's like a post-ictal confusion or something. That's my concept of post-test blackout .

I agree with chema. General malaise everytime i get out of a usmle step i dont even remeber what the test was about, not even what i answered. And i dont know about chema but for me its lasts the whole test day. I usually start to recover till next morning. Like a cruda man. lol

spitmetal: It's regular mail. It will take at least 4 weeks before you get it. But it takes 4 days to leave the ECFMG and to reach you.

Tomorrow I will got throughtsome physicals. I am fine with that, I think. good day to all

Hello everybody! I am back , far from Mexico again and ready to start studying. I had a wonderfl time and it was hard to leave , specially now that I know I wont retunr for at least 2 years. My residency program sent me a big book I have to learn before I start on june, I thought thats pretty cool because that way I am not confused on what to read. ZAA , I am going to Cottage Hospital, I am sure you have been there or at least passed by If you were born in Santa Barbara...it is nice, uh? Silatk, for your CS , use some neumonics, that way you assure to ask every single thing, which as you stated can lead to the diagnosis. have a nice weekend everybody, lor

Hello Lorena I just wanted to congratulate you for your big success. I don't think you remember me , but when you where looking for forums to study back in oct-Nov of 2003 you logged in at usmle.net my nick name was vioxx,(Damian) anyway couple days ago I was just checking and found your name in the forum i read your usmle history and you did great. I passed my exams but with low scores and I did not match this year, right now I'm working on my PTAL and step 3 to improve my curriculum. If you have any connections that might help please let me know i would appreciate it that . I wish you the best and take care

Actually I was born in the Cottage Hospital, and yes Santa Barbara is a beautiful city. I'm leaving to Pasadena tomorrow to start my prep course in Kaplan. It better be good. Guys, Do you know something about Pediatrics? I know this doctor who is the director of Seamar(I don't know if you know this hospital, I think it is in many other states) here in Seattle, and he said that you cannot apply for pediatrics if you graduated more than 2 years before the match.

I think it depends on the program. Because some get into programs that are known to be closed to be impossible. I say luck has to do something with it but persistence is more important I think in order to get into a program. Good day to all!!

Hello Damian 33, thank you for your nice words, if I can be of any help regarding info, or doubts about the process, please let me know . I'd kindly help you. ZAA, every hospital/residency program has their own requirements, it is better to check in their website in requirements for application -some hospitals/programs requiere year of graduation, others certain scores, some sponsor visas others dont - so thats something you have to find out directly with them. Good luck!! keep it up everybody!

MANANA TOMO mi CS!!!!!!!!! I am calm but later on I will be probably nervous. I hope for the best thank you to some of you that gave me tips for it. Thank Lore for your support. I follow your advice on the notes. Feel much better now with the format. Is simple but one has to practice to feel comfortable with it. I really have to thank the two other friends that I have been studying with. Many hours of reviewing. Modi and Sankari. Let's see how it goes tomorrow. Noxar gracias!!Al igual chema. Lorena no se diga, merci!!!
