oigan gente..i gotta question for u.....I have as mi official address some PO box in Texas because as you may or may not know, the postal service here in Mexico just sucks and everything gets lost on its way (they lost my scheduling permit and a bunch of other stuff)...my oasis account says my score has been reported now ...is there any way I can see my score report online or do i have to get the paper from my PO box when it arrives??... any help appreciated...
plus...another q for you guys that have already pass step 2ck.... if u had to say somethin....which one (between step 1 and step2ck) would you say it was harder to pass???

There is no way to see your score online. You will have to get your score report from your mailbox .
I passed step 1 and step 2ck and i definetely think step 1 is much much harder!!! I Took almost a year (inconsistently though) preparing for step 1. For step 2 i didnt take half of that time. I got the exact same score in both steps. Besides step 2 is clinical which is more friendly , from my perspective.

I think I will start on these subjects first since I have yet to take pathology and pathophysiology this semester (which starts on monday!) and then move on to biochem, pharm, microbiology and anatomy.
Its really awesome there are IMGs specially from Mexico and specially from U de G since a few months ago I thought i was alone in all of this USMLE stuff.
By the way, here in Gudalajara where do you register to take the exam and pay the fees and all that? I have heard there is a course by the Princeton Review here in Guadalajara to prepare for STEP 1 and I was wondering if anybody has heard from it. Well hope to hear from all of you soon and best of luck in what is to come...

Itīs nice to help you Medusin. You have now very good advices about step 1.
I didnīt know about the Princeton Review course in Guadalajara, no idea buddy.
You register for step 1 through OASIS, IWA, itīs on line. Fees are paid with your credit card that you give during your on line application.
Here in Guadalajara the only official site to do the steps of USMLE is the Prometric Center that is in the ICMN (Instituto Cultural Mexico Norteamericano) in front of the Expiatorio church. Yes, there are english classes there and all that, but there is also a small room that is the prometric center there.

I am nervous guys, 1 month to exam, i got my scheduling permit, but i feel insecure, i went to the prometric website, and i just could not do it. I got chicken jajajaja.
I guess i need to practice more questions to get my confidence back up.
I am between getting q bank or nbme, not sure, any advice?

Hey drgaxmac, donīt feel in that way. . Donīt you have an on line QBank? if you have it you could do it and pratice with it. If not, you should get it and do it for this month, that would help you, definitively.

Chema: I understand how you feel  . I was far away from my boyfriend for 5 years! but one of the things that will make you be closer to your girl is passing the steps , and you are doing very well so cheer up !! be optimisstic
Drgaxmax: doing a lot of questions (i recommend qbank) will make you feel more confident, practice, practice, practice!! The month before your exam should be intense. Prepare yourself for the big day, calm down, and think you will perform just fine. Dont panic . Remember you are prepared for this test so no reason to be nervous.
Silatk...are you already in mexico? i am so jealous!! i wish i could have some birria too 
Evybrasil, i have heard that you can register with ERAS with only your step 1 although it is only recommended when you have a great score so the residency programs will give you an interview while waiting for the rest of your scores. To register with ERAS, request your ERAS Token in your oasis account online, then wait one day to receive it and with it you can sign up for My ERAS.

hi e1.....well I got my step 1 report yesterday... it was 200/82...itīs really weird how I was just jumping in happiness when the oasis trick told me i had passed and now when I got my report I feel somehow dissapointed...maybe the truth is im glad i passed but im a greedy sob...
anyway...hopefully pathology coordinators wont put much attention on that...
just wanted to let u know my scores....any comments r welcome....

hello Evybrasil, Well Lorena just pretty much explained it. But your score has to be at least above 85%. This kind of garanties the program that you will pass Step 2 CK and not waist their spot.
Lorena, I am in Mexico now. Well I have been eating well. Iīll eat some birria for you tomorrow. To bad there is no barbacoa la in Oaxaca.
