Hey Spit,
I got my prematch at Canton Ohio, IM, they offer H1B, done with step 3, in the process of visa application
Guys, do you know if you get the h1B on the same day of the interiew at the embassy?, in case all goes well of coruse...
Karime, I am very excited with my pre match, I am waiting for new residents packet!

Yes in life you have to prove who you are,what you know and be humble at the same time,to control you emotions,not your emotions control you.
I graduated from medical school many years ago and did my intership and servicio social and all of that cedula etcetera.
To live here in the states in very hard because you have to adapt to a new enviroment.
And if you don have the proper paper work you will not work in the medical field.
I have taken this "new" career Surgical Technologist
What is ST ? well it is a career where you (I) will come to know the cutting edge of technology in the surgical field -Robots , lasers and much more-
Like "instrumentista quirurgico in Mexico" but in charge of the sterile field in the OR
and get to see many surgeries and teach the new surgical residents,sometimes of what to use and do with the new products.
Of course being a physician myself I understand a litle better what is going on.
Yes Karime I have taken step 1 many times before but did not make the grade
I will retake the test next year or so after I get a good spot in a good hospital and be able to pay for my own stuff.

Hello guys:
Good luck for everybody waiting for the match.
I want to apply to get the California letter, and I don't know if I have the wrong application form. Is it right? you have to pay 500 dollars. Can some body who has already done it explain this process to me.
I'm just starting to study for step 2 and it is painful. I had to work a full year to save some money to pay for the tests and have enough to survive with my wife and daughter while I'm studying, so I didn't really study during that time. Now go back to full time studying is kind of hard. By the way thanks to every body for your help with my MSPE. I got something that looks like it.
Is some body studying for step 2 right now?

Hello ZAA,
I do believe you have the right form from the California boards. Fill in all the details make sure you put all your hours in all the areas such Psy,community medicine etc. Yes it is kind of expensive and will take some time around 4 to 6 months but it is doable. You will have to send your diploma (the original) to them to verify that is the legitime one. You also need to send all the sheets L1 to L(I don't remember) to your school to be signed by your dean(Faculty Director) and also your internship attendings. Fingerprints photos etc . for the whole thing which I did 2 years ago I paid like almost 2000 because I was In phoenix arizona,so I had to go to Mexicali and take to forms to the general hospital to be signed and then I sent the forms to my school in Tamaulipas to be signed , so It took me quite some time. But again is just a process takes time and some money but it is doable. I believe you will also need your social security number with out that please don't waste your money because they are not going to give it to you.
Good Luck in your studies for step 2 and study hard just not for you but your family it is very tough but you are doing it just great.

Hello guys,
I am going to choose my test date for both CK and CS. I think I will be taking CS in mid august ( because I thing I need to study hard for CK first so that knowledge from this test can help me for CS) Do you think I still can make it for the match?
My credentials are really weak, and I don't have USCE (although I'm waiting for an answer from University of South California University Hospital). Do you know of any IMG friendly hospitals where I can apply for an observership or externership?
