Hi Arciniega,
I think it actually takes only a couple days, maybe 3 or 4, they will send you an email saying that it's ready and you only have to go to the ecfmg site and print it.

I am sorry Arciniega..., I didn´t mean to scare you..., I remember asking for an extension for step 1 and if I remember correctly it took like 10-15 days..., still I am not sure...

As always, the ECFMG processing time depends on the workload they have  . This time of the year they are specially slow... Anyway, make it a week for a simple request like yours, Arciniega, don't think it'll take more. If you're lucky and someone is really working his ass over there maybe you'll have the reply already in your mail!! Good luck!

Hello guys! Thanks Enrique and Noxar for your support!! I'm actually at Houston right now. I'm interviewing tomorrow at methodist and the day after tomorrow at UTMB galveston. I'm really excited about this Iv's. I really want to make a good impression, considering I would love to stay in Houston. I hope everything goes super well. Enrique dear please pray for me!
Anyways, wecome to the new members! Dear Chicharro you don't have to be born in Mexico to be a mexican!! So welcome! You'll be our adoptive mexican!
Arciniega I hope your paperwork gets done as quickly as possible. I can't help you in this because I've never rescheduled or extended my testing period so I'm not familiar with this process.
By the way I have not told you my experiences with the fabulous ENARM?... oh well kids that's another story which I will surely tell you another day!

Well.. this is it ! my last chance to prepare myself really well... before taking the step... OMG I'm really nervous already ! LOL I know I shouldn't but it's hard not to, I have my test app. on feb 7th and I want to take the NBME before to see how I'm doing. Wish me luck !

Hey guys I got so many news today!! First and most of all I finally got it!! I got UT Houston IV!! Oh dear I waited for soooo long but I finally got it thank God for that!
I interviewed today at methodist hospital in houston and I'll interview tomorrow at UTMB galveston. I actually have to get ready for the resident's dinner tonight.
I'm super happy guys!! Things are happening soo fast. I actually received an email today from NY metropolitan asking me to call them urgently and also a phone call back in home from cleveland clinic florida also asking me to call ASAP... I think they might offer prematch... but at this point as risky and crazy as it sounds I might actually go for my dream!! I'll go for the match guys I know I might end up w/o a position but who knows I might actually make it! So we'll se I'll leave it in God's hands now.

Hi all-
I have been away myself with work and trying to study for step one!! Well my exam is set for January 26. Wish me luck!! As for my credentials still waiting to get my final medical diploma verified ...hopefully the BUAP will send it soon.
I'm doing UW and scoring 30-45 % can't get any higher which is very frustrating 3 random 65% but am nervous...have done half of the bank already. Have any other had this experiences?
Congrats for those of who have prematched!!! Good luck to those that are interviewing.

Congratulations Glo, I wish you get a very good christmas gift this year ( the UT Houston prematch), that would be very nice. You didn't tell us your experience with the ENARM test.
Confe, your test is very soon, well I think that you just need to keep practicing and practicing the UW until the day of your test, and read all the explanations that they give you very carefully and understand them, maybe read again the First Aid too very fast.

Thank you sooo much everyone for all your support I really appreciate it!! Hey tochtil it would be nice to get a UT houston prematch but unfortunally they don't give any... I will go for the match and see how it goes.
I'm still at Houston, I'm getting back tomorrow. I will have to come back in january for my UT houston IV because I had to get some paperwork before my IV... I know it sucks! But that's ok I really like coming to Houston... I just don't enjoy so much traveling anymore.
I loved my IV's here at Houston. Everyone was soo nice and they fed me like crazy!! It was such a cool experience to be interviewing at the places where I used to dream of when I was doing my internship working my ass off. There is no better way of knowing you are on the right track than when you get back to a place you used to work but this time they treat you like royalty.. it was sooo cool!!
Doc clotaire: You are so welcome, I wish you the best of luck for your cs I know you will do great please feel free to let me know if you need anything.
About the ENARM... well it is a terribly designed exam but it is not very hard at all. A lot of the questions required a whole lot of divination skills which I really don't have but well... what can you do about it? Believe it or not the English part was the worse!!! jajaja yeah I know!! Poor bastards those that make the exam... they really need some intensive English classes... they ended up asking what x or y was trying to say and not a single one of the options given even approximated to the true meaning of the paragraph jajjaa the bastards!!!! but oh well I'll let you guys know how it went in January... I really don't mind what the result is because even if I have a good score I will not get a position.

Confe, when I started doing the UW I didnt get very good scores too, and at the end the higher scores that I obtained were maybe between 50 and 60, and only sometimes 65 and 70, and I didn't take those NMBE tests. I really don't know what scores do you need to pass the step 1, maybe the other guys can help us. I still think that the UW is more a study material than for evaluation, but I'm not sure.
